The issue that affected some VMs and servelets has been resolved and all related services are restored or in the process of being restored.

If you have affected services that are not yet restored, please contact us at [email protected] with your server name (e.g. SERVERNAME1) and IP address, and we will look into it for you.


Update on 28 March, 21:50 PM

We are continuing to work on a few network-related problems that have arisen earlier today after the first issue described was resolved. While the nature of the problem has been identified, we are still urgently working on the necessary fix required to resolve the problem. As a result, access to the SimplerCloud portal and to some Virtual Machines / servelets / public cloud plans on our public cloud infrastructure remains limited or unavailable. We are working urgently to fix the issue and apologise for all inconveniences caused.


Update on 28 March, 17:15

We have identified an issue with our network that is causing some connectivity and availability problems, and are currently urgently working to assess and fix the issue.

At present, some VMs in our public cloud and the SimplerCloud customer portal are still unavailable. Our team is actively working on this with the utmost urgency and will continue to post available updates here.


Update on 28 March, 11:25 HR: Completion of Data Center Migration and extension of Maintenance Window for Some Virtual Machine / Servelet (Simple Plan) customers

The data center migration completed successfully at approximately 6AM today and all dedicated server, private cloud server customers are successfully up and running.

At present, we are currently encountering a network-related issue that is affecting some of our VM customers, including those on Simple plans. As a result, some customers and our SimplerCloud customer portal are currently available. Our team is actively working on this and will post available updates here.

As the scheduled migration work has begun and is ongoing, the SimplerCloud portal will be unavailable due to the ongoing scheduled data center migration and maintenance on Friday, 27 March 2026 at 2100 hrs Singapore time, details below.

During this time, access to the SimplerCloud dashboard will be unavailable. Progress updates will be posted here.

Start Time: 09:00 PM SGT (GMT +08:00)
End Time: (estimated) 12:00 PM SGT (GMT +08:00) - the next day - Saturday, 28 March 2026 (or earlier)
Estimated Maintenance Window: 15 hours (or earlier)

Description:

We will be performing a migration of our network and server infrastructure to a new data centre facility.

Action Required - Server Shutdown

We kindly request that you gracefully shut down your servers or VMs no later than 8:45 PM SGT on Friday, 27 March 2026.

You may perform a standard remote shutdown procedure.

Please note that we will begin powering off all the servers and equipment starting at 9:00 PM SGT. Servers and VMs that remain powered on at that time may be subject to an improper shutdown, which increases the risk of data corruption, especially for Windows Server operating systems.

Server Start-Up

Once all hardware relocation and network connectivity have been fully restored in the new data centre, our team will power on your servers.

During this maintenance window, all servers and hosted services will be down. We recommend that customers avoid performing system updates, backup or snapshot operations, or configuration changes shortly before and during the maintenance window.

There will be:
- No IPv4 address changes
- No IPv6 address changes
- No DNS changes required

Following the migration, your servers and services will resume normal operation using the same IP addresses and configurations as before.
